What looked like it would turn out to be another thrashing at the hands of Liverpool, who scored either side of halftime, turned into a stirring if sloppy match as Arsenal stormed back in the second half, scoring three goals in five minutes to briefly take a lead. Petr Čech was unlucky a third time, having been caught out be deflections twice before. He saved Firmino's shot from close range only to see the ball spin into the back of the net anyway. Clearly, neither side was willing to yield. Things settled down from there, as both sides largely eliminated the errors that allowed the other to score. Well, that's it for now.
